Overdose Awareness Day 2025 at Grant House 💜 Today, our Street Haven community gathered to honour lives lost, celebrate resilience, and stand together against stigma. We were grateful to welcome guest speakers Kendra Lamarre and Lin Sallay from Street Health, whose words powerfully reminded us why this day matters. Clients from our Addiction and Mental Health program also shared moving pieces from their Creative Writing Group, giving voice to courage, struggle, and hope. The ceremony closed with a reflective activity, as participants created commemorative rocks for our new Reflective Rock Garden—a lasting tribute in our memorial space. This week, our incredible clients at Street Haven took part in the “Dress to Impress” workshop, hosted by Training Services, and they absolutely shined. From learning how to dress for interviews to discovering the power of personal presentation, this session was all about building confidence from the outside in. 💼👗

On July 16, we joined @metrolinx and @uwgreaterto to reflect on the realities of poverty and transition, and to express our gratitude. For 60 years, Street Haven has supported women through emergency shelter, supportive housing, addiction treatment, and reintegration programs. With United Way’s partnership, we continue to support women at pivotal moments in their lives, with dignity, care, and purpose.
