Residential Services: Grant House
Street Haven Addiction Services provides a 3-month intensive treatment program for women experiencing challenges associated with substance dependency. A client-centered and trauma informed approach provides a safe environment for women to learn and understand how substance use impacts on their lives, relationships, health and well-being through a variety of therapeutic and holistic methods and techniques.
The Grant House site, a 24-hour - 13-bed home-like residence, offers an opportunity to share and learn in both group and individual settings. Each woman will have a primary worker and take part in a structured program consisting of daily groups and outings focusing on topics related to self-esteem, communication, wellness, managing emotions, healthy relationships and other areas of health.
In a move to reduce barriers, Street Haven Addiction Services is forging community partnerships to enhance access for women treated with methadone and/or saboxone.
Women can access this program through referral from the community and from the justice system.
